What is this course about?
The first two days of training will focus on how to use Project Server to manage enterprise projects and resources, to coordinate multiple projects with distributed teams, to consolidate project progress along with risk and resource usage information. In this course, you will learn to optimize Project Server to manage enterprise projects as well as learning to centralize project plans, organizing processes, streamlining communication and control performance factors.
The last three days of training will provide project administrators with key knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage a Project Server implementation on a daily basis. Except for installation, this course covers everything you need to know about configuring and managing Project Server. |

What is the course format?
This is a five-day intensive training course which provides a mixture of classroom instruction in lecture format and hands-on exercises to enable the students to practice the concepts taught in this course. In addition to the hands-on exercises scheduled throughout the class, the students will have access to the Project Server Learning Lab courtesy of EPMS on Demand Project Server Hosting Service. This will be available for 30 days after course completion, enabling the student to practice and reinforce the skills they have acquired.
Classroom workstations will be provided for students to use during the training course. No additional equipment is required. |

What is the difference between MS Project Server 2003 Deployment Boot Camp and MS Project Server 2007 Deployment Boot Camp?
Both classes are run in parallel at our training center on a monthly basis. A complete project life cycle is covered in both courses. Throughout the course, you will learn to use the Project Server features and to tailor these to your specific needs. Extensive hands-on lab time and exercises allow you to explore and practice the skills most relevant to your needs.
The Project Server 2003 Deployment course covers skills and knowledge you will need to implement, use, and customize Project Server 2003. A Migration Path to Project Server 2007 session and a What Is New with Project Server 2007 session will be added to this class for students who are interested in learning the Project Server 2007 features and migration issues.
The Project Server 2007 Deployment class is designed for people who are responsible for implementing the latest Project Server 2007 technology. The Project Server 2007 Deployment Boot Camp includes new and enhanced features from the previous version. This class covers all of the most useful features, and the best practiced configuration & migration paths based on our collective knowledge and extensive experience deploying this tool. |

Yes. Though the course is not designed as preparation for the exam, this course is beneficial to anyone working toward PMI's PMP certification. For those who are currently certified, completion of this course counts as 35 professional development units (PDU) (60 units must be completed every three years to maintain certification.) |

Will I have internet access at the Training Center?
Yes. You can bring your laptop if you need to take care of your daily business matters, or you can use our computers at the Business Center. If you like, you can stay at the Training Center to as late as 7:00 PM to take advantage of our beautiful and peaceful ocean front facility. |

Team members will be actively involved in steering, trimming sails, maneuvering and working as a team to sail a boat. This training is subject to weather conditions, boat and instructor availability. Sometimes this activity is replaced by boat racing. The students and instructor work together to race with the Sequoia Yacht Club. After the race, the students can grab a hamburger at the Club House and join the BBQ mixer, a great way to end the day! |
